Living like a bum was the perfect lifestyle for a seemingly abandoned, beautiful, Bengal cat. After observing him occasionally in the woods, he wandered into our yard, house and heart. After several months with us, Bum, as we now call him, decided to move on.
As the years progressed, Bum made his way around the neighborhood, settling in new homes, and acquiring a new name (Meow, as he was VERY vocal.) We heard about him every so often, but he didn’t decide to come back to us for several years. Read the rest of this entry »
Hazel, our 17 year old cat, is a lovely tortoiseshell with white paws. She and two orange male tabbies, who are litter mates and seven years old, had been the beloved cats of a couple who had to give them up due to the wife’s losing battle with cancer. The husband was distressed to give them up, but he had reached the end of his ability to care for them in view of his wife’s increasing needs.
